4 Key Web Design Trends of 2015

Like other people, I am not a fan of trends; however the bad trends of the 90s are gone and have been replaced by the 2015 trends which you can follow for providing impeccable designs for your clients.

Clicking and Scrolling

The idea of a fold was used for a long time, like a folded newspaper; however, things have changed now as with this idea, the important content has to be moved above the fold for making the information accessible to the users.

The ideology is also turning quite quickly and adopted by designers world over. Today, the users are always looking to scroll down the pages which have gone out of the window. As per the recent Charbeat’s article, about sixty percent of the total attention is spent on the last section of the website.
Websites made today are gaining vertical length and with the help of them a lot of content is shown at once. Images today have become better and bigger as mentioned in the next trend.

Bigger Images

Even though loading time is not discussed as an issue, it is quite important and with fast internets, we get more flexibility by uploading large files into the site. Large images and videos are both in trend and offer a lot of innovative features such as parallax. As an example, you can see a lot of parallax sites in the portfolio of the Medialinkers, an Atlanta web designing company.

The Parallax Concept

Well, it is an image which moves at a different speed compared to the content when scrolled according to a visual depth. The images in the middle of such sites move differently in the middle compared to the content areas. This trend is gaining a lot of popularity in the web design world.

The Rise of FLAT Designs

The windows 8 and the new windows 10 including Apple’s iOS 9 have all embraced the flat design technology. The gradients, visual embellishments, shadows and shading have moved out of fashion. Today, solid colors, bold and crisp lines are used all over the user interfaces. Whether you like it or not, the trend is not going anywhere as the main benefit of using it is that it increases the loading time, removing additional textures, which rely more on the code for the content display.

VIDEOS are a Necessity

As the smartphone users are on an increase over the recent years, this has increased the viewers of videos and pictures at the same time.   This means that with the help of the video clips, you can capture users’ attention, telling a story about your business, which would finally increase your sales.
